Ramajaz Concert Review
2nd July, 2008 - George IV, Chiswick
Joseph Marshall's Ramajaz play a fascinating style of music combining Indian, Latin and traditional jazz styles creating a unique sound

The audience were treated to many of Ramajaz's musical delights ffrom both of their albums including all of my favourites. With long-term member Sirish guiding his hands over the tabla in a mesmeric way, the playful interaction with Joseph (piano), Ben (violin) and David (saxophone) had all in the audience hooked during what can only be described as a battle of the players mid way through the set. With an unusual poet challenging the audience before both halves of the set, a Ramajaz concert is not just about musical pleasure. Instead, you'll find that the experience will leave your senses stretched to new levels.
Innovative, classy, funky and cool are just some of the multitude of adjectives that spring to mind.
Think you've heard it all? You have now!

"It is rare to see a band with such infusion, uplift and rhythm in
music. Events & Friends members thoroughly enjoyed hearing Ramajaz live in Chiswick-a truly fabulous evening! We are looking forward to seeing much of this band in the coming months."

Ramajaz are an exciting, unique blend of Indian, Jazz and Flamenco
music that moves both my heart and feet. I am, most definitely a
fan ! I would travel far and wide to see them.

Teaching Testimonials

Joseph Marshall taught my son Joslin the saxophone for two years. During that time Joslin achieved his grade 8 with distinction. Joseph also taught me the piano for one year as an adult beginner.
We found him a sympathetic and adept teacher with a lot of patience. He is trustworthy and humorous and indeed became a family friend. His commitment to music makes him enthusiastic. I recommend him most highly
