Piano Teacher

I am a fully experienced piano teacher, having studied at the London College of Music for three years with Timothy Barratt, Yonty Solomon and Jeremy Davis. I teach all styles from the classics : Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Rachmaninoff , Debussy and Ravel to Jazz piano. I also can teach all ages from five years upwards. I can teach from beginners up to diploma level, and help prepare my students for their exam or recital. I teach at home, or would be happy to travel to their homes.

My rates vary: £40 per hr at home or £50 if I travel to you. There are discounts for five lessons or more.

I have many students I teach privately and at the International School of London. I also teach jazz piano, working on music by Scott Joplin, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk and Chick Corea, among others. I can help develop the students' awareness of improvisation through chords and scales. Listening is also a very important part of jazz improvisation, and I encourage transcribing of solos from the great albums such as Miles Davis's Kind of Blue: All Blues to Herbie Hancock's Canteloupe Island.
